Colin Stanley has been working the building industry since 1985. He completed his training in Architectural Technology (RMIT University) in 1985. His first job was with the Coles group preparing designs for the Coles group of Companies (Coles Supermarkets, Kmart, Target, Liquorland). 1985-1995
1989 – 1991 worked for Burton & Carter Architects, Mackenzie & associates Architects, In 1995 he moved to Sydney to work with Franklins supermarkets in their national expansion team before coming back to Melbourne in 2000. On his return to Melbourne, he contracted to a number of companies: DESA Australia, HEDE Architecture, Hooke Architecture. Working with these different groups gave him great access to a wide range of projects including education facilities, heritage projects, extensions & large new homes.
2002 CES Design was started and has grown from a single person to a 4 person Architectural design practice.
2008 Colin completed a certificate in Thermal performance Analysis at Gordon University.
2017 The team recently completed a REVIT 3D modeling upskill training to ensure we are up to date with the current technology and standards, He is registered building practitioners with VBA http://www.vba.vic.gov.au/ He is a member of the BDAV (http://bdav.org.au/) and attends relevant professional development seminars / Webinars to keep abreast of the latest Building design trends & practices.
